“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”
― Maya Angelou (I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings)

Our lives are filled with all different kinds of experiences. Some of them last only a second, like watching a falling star. Others a couple of days, like doing a journey or learning something new. And some experiences can last many months or even years, like a relationship or dealing with a disease.
Many of our experiences pass by without leaving a mark and are soon forgotten. But some of them are so intense that we will remember them forever. It’s those moments that shape the way we see the world and think about it. In a way, it’s those moments that define us. They make us discover our values, provide us with new insights, change our perspective or make us understand what we couldn’t figure out and reveal to us what we have ignored so far. Such experiences have the power to change our believes our attitude and our goals – they can even change our lives.

We think those experiences also have the power to change the lives of others. If we learn, grow and improve because of our experiences then we can help others to do the same by sharing these experiences with them. We just need to give them meaning so that others not only know what we experienced but also how we experienced it and how it affected us. And the best way to do that is by telling a story.
And this is what 301 words is all about: We collect short stories (301 or less words) of personal life experiences and put them in our online library. A library full of stories that move us – and give us the chance to learn from them.

We hope you enjoy wandering through our library and will discovery many inspiring stories!
